Something tells me that the fun have only just begun
It seems like just yesterday we brought you home
Like typical first parents, we never left you alone
To us you were perfect
So tiny, like you could fit into our pockets
Those first moments we will never forget

As the days and weeks went by you continued to blossom
Your heavenly existence we still couldn't fathom
Oh what joy you brought us all
Never saw your short dad look so tall...
Hahaha...he waited a lifetime to have you
When you arrived, he went a little coo coo
God forbid i did anything wrong
Today i would be singing a different song

It's such a joy to watch you grow
It's like watching our own variety show
Never a dull moment that's for sure
Some of your antics brings me to the floor
You're already quite the charmer
I've got my hands full, just like a farmer

I learned early that being a mother is the greatest task
Yet the greatest blessing i could ever ask
You light up my heart and my world
You're the greatest story ever told
As you can imagine...
Talking about you never gets old

I knew you before i met you
Yes, i saw your smile and your happy face
Even you causing mischief around the place
You are everything i imagined you would be
You are more than the eyes could ever see
The beauty is that there is no other like you
To your beautiful self always be true

Everyday as i watch you grow
I think that there is so much that you still don't know
Sometimes i wish it could stay that way
The world gets more scary everyday
I know i can't shield you from the harsh realities of life,
But take my advise, the secret is in finding a good wife! hahaha...

Oh my son, the road ahead is unknown
This life is only a loan
I will love and cherish you everyday
I will show you how to kneel and pray
For when life feels like it's closing in
Turn to God, on him you can always lean

Our prayer is that you see the world through your own vision
and not that of television
Don't get caught up in all the politics and division
Life is not worth the drama and confusion
Try to be on good terms with all you meet
Most things can often be solved with great wit

As hard as it may be, try not to get caught up in the hype
Know matter what they say-You don't fit any stereotype
The world will often try to tell you who you are
Go ahead,mesmerize them like a shooting star
You are blessed more than you know
Spread your wings, let your blessings flow

I believe in dreams, because they do come true
I believe in God, because he created me and you
I believe in life, because it's a gift
I believe in you, and i know that you can do it
That "it" is whatever you set out to do or be
That great thing that only your eyes can see
And if the world says it cannot be done
Just remind them that you're Loverly and Mik's SON!
